An assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police died and a constable received injuries in a road accident on airport road in the city’s Khilkhet area early Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Al Amin, 32, while the injured man was identified as Shahjahan, 40, of the city’s Khilkhet Police Station.

An assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police died and a constable received injuries in a road accident on airport road in the city’s Khilkhet area early Tuesday.

Bazar area. Al Amin was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctor declared him dead at about 3:30am.
Injured Shahjahan was admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital, the ASI said. Driver of the tuck and his assistant were detained in connection with the incident, he added.
A case also files in this connection, the ASI further said.
