Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam on Saturday termed those ‘coward’ who carry out attacks on religious minorities.
“Those who carry out attacks on religious minorities are coward. There’ll be no place for the coward in Bangladesh,” he said while addressing a Janmashtami rally at Palashi intersection in the city.
Observing that the houses of the Hindu minority are still being attacked while their businesses being grabbed, Ashraf, also the Public Administration
Minister, said, “But this can’t continue in an independent country.”
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has clearly stated that persons who are involved in the misdeeds wouldn’t be spared. This Bangladesh is for all-Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Buddhists,” he added.
Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon was, among others, present on the occasion.
