Ashashuni Upazila team moved into the semifinals of the Walton DC Cup Football Tournament Satkhira when they defeated Satkhira Pourashava team by two goals to nil at the Satkhira District team on Saturday.
The winners led the first half 1-0. Bapura of Ashashuni Upazila team put his team ahead utilizing a penalty corner in the 45th minute of the first half. After the lemon-break Keleti Kele of Ashashuni Upazila team made it 2-0 just two minutes before the final whistle. Shariful of Ashashuni Upazila team was adjudged the Man of the Match. Additional DC of Satkhira district and President of the Tournament Committee Md Mohsin Ali distributed the prizes. Manager of Satkhira Walton Plaza Md Sumon Mia and President of Satkhira District Football Association Engineer Sirajul Islam were present at the time.
