Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that law enforcers have been bravely fighting against violence and terrorism in the country for a long time.
Actions are being taken against extremists, terrorists and miscreants so that the criminals do not get any chance to raise their ugly heads.
The Home Minister said it to the reporters at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Thursday after visiting Sub-Inspector (SI) Monir of RAB-12, who was injured during a gunfight with miscreants in Tangail early Wednesday.
‘We are proud of the law enforcers. For their brave efforts, terrorism is not getting change to foot in the country,’ Asaduzzaman Khan said.
He hoped that Monir would resume his duty soon.
“Acting on the information, the elite force members went there risking their lives following intelligence report. Members of law enforcement agencies always work at risk,” he said.
Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Hoque and Director General of RAB Benazir Ahmed accompanied the Home Minister during his visit to the CMH.
Earlier on Wednesday, two alleged miscreants Akbar Hossain, 50, and Manu Miah, 35, were killed during the gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Tangail.
SI Monir, and three other miscreants were also injured in the incident. Monir was taken to Tangail Medical College Hospital from where he was shifted to the CMH in Dhaka.
