Aruna Biswas gets lifetime achievement award

Without any hesitation Aruna Biswas confessed that if she had not attachment with theatre group Bohubochon, she could not learn many things about acting in her life. So she is grateful to this theatre group.
Recently Bohubochon gave her the lifetime achievement award at its 47th founding anniversary which was held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city’s Segunbagicha area on February 1. Aruna became delighted and also excited to receive the award.
She said, “I am cordially grateful to Bohubochon and Kamaluddin Nilu Bhai because if I would not work with Nilu Bhai I couldn’t learn many things about acting. Right now I remember the name of my father.”
After starting to act with Bohubochon Aruna first performed under Kamaluddin Nilu’s direction in play Tin Poisar Pala in 1984. Under this group she also acted in another play. Later she started acting in TV plays. In TV play, she first acted in Noresh Bhuiyan scripted and Zia Ansari produced play Ekhono Jibon. Then she became regular in acting in small screen.
In big screen, Aruna first acted under Razzak’s direction in movie Chapa Dangar Bou. She last acted in Shah Alam Mondal’s movie Sadakalo Prem. Now she has been engaged with acting in different serials. Her only son Shuddho is now doing higher study in Canada. She wants to continue acting rest of her life.
