Prof. Mahmudul Haq, a famous artist of the country, former teacher of Fine Arts deparment of Dhaka University, Director General of National Musium of Bangladesh and Founder President of Bangladesh Frienship Education Society (BFES) who breathed his last in a Hospital in the capital city of Dhaka on Tuesday evening while he was undergoing treatment at the age of 77 was laid to eternal rest in his native village Sreefaltala under Rampal Upazila in Bagerhat district on Thursday morning after holding the second Namaj-e-Janazaa in the Sreefalta Pilot High School premises.
Just before the Janaja a discussion was held there about his life and activities in brief. Those who participated in it are Reja Selim, Director of Amader Gram Project, Shaikh Moazzem Hossain, Chairman of Rampal Upaazila Parishad, Md. Kabir Hossain, UNO, Rampal and the deceased’s younger brother artist Mostafizul Haq.
