Visual Arts Department of Bengal Foundation is going to hold a Performance Art Week for which it is calling for application from the performance artists in the country. The Art Week will be held from December 23rd to December 30th at three different venues: Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts, Daily Star-Bengal Arts Precinct, Gyantapash Abdur Razzaq Bidyapeeth.
The artists are requested to apply with a concept note or proposal (300 words max), a short bio (150 words max) and documentation of 3 past works (video/audio links, photos etc of total 5mb). The application should be submitted to [email protected] by November 25, 2016.
Bengal Foundation has organized the program with the aim to explore multiple complexities of this ephemeral medium through discussions, performances and exhibitions. Performance Art Week 2016 will attempt to have a comprehensive look on the role of performance art in contemporary Bangladesh.
