A five-day long art exhibition entitled “First Chorkuthuri Art Exhibition-2016” was inaugurated yesterday (Monday) at Rajshahi University.
The programme was organised by Chorkuthuri Art Group of Rajshahi where a total of 45 paintings, 9 sculptures and 6 photographs by ten artists were shown at the exhibition.
Prof Golam Faruk of RU fine arts department inaugurated the event at the university Teachers-Students Cultural Centre (TSCC) around 5:00pm.
Among others, TSCC director Prof Nurul Mudasser and addition commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Sardar Tamizuddin Ahmed were present in the inaugural session.
“The aim of our exhibition is to unveil the drawn picture of people’s subconscious mind”, said Nargis Akter Soma, convener of Chorkuthuri Art Group.
The exhibition will be remained open for the visitors.
