UNB, Jhalakati :
A court here on Monday sent three local leaders of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Juba Dal to jail rejecting their bail prayers in the case filed for torching vehicles during the three-month hartal-blockade programme enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
The accused were identified as Enamul Haque Saju, senior joint convenor of the district unit Chhatra Dal, Anisur Rahman Panna, president of Sadar upazila unit Juba Dal, and Yeasin Arafat, organising secretary of Sadar upazila unit Juba Dal.
Court sources said when the three leaders surrendered before the court in the afternoon and sought bail, District and Sessions Judge SM Solaiman sent them to jail rejecting the prayer.
