Arson attack at Thakurpara village not an isolated incident : Quader

The arson attack at Thakurpara village in Rangpur is not an isolated incident. It was a follow up attack of Ramu and Nasirnagar by a organized group intended to foil the following general election creating a restless situation in the country said, AL General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader.
He was speaking to the journalists in press briefing while visiting the village on Sunday morning.
The AL General Secretary said, a group conducted the arson attack and vandalized the houses and temples in the Hindus village in planned way to destroy the good relation between the government and India. He termed the attack heinous and barbaric act. He warned that the attackers whoever he may be should be brought under trial.
 He also said, the group tried to create a restless situation in the country ahead of general e lection to foil the election. They were trying to net fish in muddy water. But their conspiracy would not be fulfilled.
 He gave twenty five thousands taka each of the arson attack victim family and ten thousands taka to each of the family whose houses were vandalized. He also gave ten thousands taka each for renovating two temples.
 AL Joint secretary, Jahangir Kabir Nanok and Organizing Secretary, Khaled Mmud Chowdhury, BM Mozammel Haque and district unit leaders were present.
Meanwhile, BNP Secretary General, Mirza Faqrul Islam was supposed to visit the village on Sunday morning.
