Recording of noted lyricist, film director, producer and storywriter Gazi Mazharul Anwar’s granddaughter Arshiya’s first song was done on September 12.
When daughter of Gazi Mazharul Anwar, Dithi Anwar was eight years old her father composed a song for her. Arshiya is now eight-year old daughter of Gazi Mazharul Anwar’s son Sharfaraz Mehedi Anwar Upol and Shahana Mirza Asha. Her grandfather also composed a song for her. Title of the song is – SaReGaMa PaDha, Aamar dadi dada, banate chai shilpi amai boro, Fuppi eshe bole lokkhisona ebar harmonium dhoro. Ahmed Kislu has arranged music of the song. During recording Arshiya’s grandfather, grandmother, mother and paternal aunty were present.
As it was Arshiya’s first song, so she had excitement about it. Her grandfather Gazi Mazhar was really impressed about his granddaughter’s interest to render song in this age.
While talking in this regard Gazi Mazharul Anwar said, “When my daughter Dithi was eight years old I also composed a song for her. After many years I gifted a song for my son’s daughter after composing a song. I am really impressed about Arshiya’s interest about her first rendering song.”
Arshiya shared her feelings by this way, “I am happy because I have a rendered a song. I want to render song more. I am delighted because I have started my career in music through a song which was composed by grandfather.”
Gazi Mazharul also said that recording of the song has been finished. After making its music video it will be released on YouTube.
Arshiya got primary training in music from Ustad Dilip Mazumder. Now she is receiving training from Abbas Uddin Music Academy under Ferdousi Rahman’s coordination. Therefore, she is also participating in Ferdousi Rahman’s Esho Gaan Shikhi.
Gazi Mazharul Anwar got Tk 100 as his first remuneration to write song titled Akash-er haate ache ekrash nil for Subhash Dutta’s movie Ayna O Oboshisto, Gazi Mazhar also said.
