Arrival of foreign ships at Mongla Port surpassed all previous record

The number of the arrival of foreign commercial ships at Mongla Sea Port surpassed all its previous records recently. At present the jetties of the port are full of foreign ships, according to reports received here.
At Sunday night, some five foreign commercial ships anchored with the jetties of the port almost at a time serially and the unloading of the goods from the foreign ships are going on in full swing. Consequently, the port area is now fully busy.
Those five ships are MV. Daiecy (carrying the national of Liberia), MV. Kotario and MV. Kotahrmat, (carrying the national flags of Singapore), MV.
Honr Pestcards, (carrying the national flag of Panama) and MV. Star (carrying the natiomal flag of Malayasia).
Rear Admiral M. Shahjahan, Chairman of Mongla Port Authorities told, as the various epoch-making steps taken by the present government and the port authorities Momgla The Port is gradually flourishing towards development and as a part of its continuity the navigability of the front area of the jetties and the Pashur channel and the capacity of the port was increased to a great extent.
As a result, at a time five foreign ships anchored with jetties of the port for unloading goods and it is for the first time in the history of the port that all the jetties of the port are fully contended with foreign ships. The Chairman added, since Sunday 5 foreign have been waiting at the jetties while some six others have been waiting in outer bar of port.
