Chittagong Metropo-litan Police (CMP) detained seven JCD and three Labor Party activists after they scuffled with police here on Tuesday morning. Mohammad Jashimuddin, officer-in-charge of Kotwali thana, said some activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in guise of Labor Party activists took part in a program held at Chittagong Press Club.
The scuffle took place at about 11:30 am when the Labor party leaders and activists along with JCD activists came out of the press club after holding a program arranged marking Labor Party’s founding anniversary, the OC said.
Police detained three Labor Party activists, including its chairman, and seven Chhatra Dal activists from the spot, he added. Later, the three Labor Party activists were released after receiving undertaken, he added.
