A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed four female suspects of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on a 5-day remand each in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The female JMB suspects are: Oishee, an intern of Dhaka Medical College Hospital and head of the female unit of the banned outfit, Aklima Rahman Moni, Mou and Meghla- 4th year Pharmacy Department students of Manarat International University.
Magistrate Pranab Kumar Hui of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka
passed the order after Officer-in-Charge(Operation) of Mirpur Model Police Station, Shahjalal Alam produced the female suspects to the court seeking a 7-day remand for each suspect.
Earlier on Monday, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained the four alleged JMB members from Dhaka and Gazipur cities. The elite force also recovered Jihadi books, documentaries, and audio and video CDs from the possessions of the suspects.
