The Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court of Dhaka on Sunday issued warrant of arrest against 17 BNP leaders and activists including the party’s Standing Committee Member MK Anwar in a case filed under the Special Power Act.
Judge Kamrul Hossain Molla of the court passed the order. Among others- Barkot Ullah Bulu, Sultan Salauddin Tuku, Advocate
Shimul Biswas, Shirin Sultana and Azizul Bari Helal were made accused in the case. Additional Public Prosecutor (APP) Tapos Kumar Pal informed newsmen that police filed the case in connection with sabotage during shutdown and blockade of January, 2015.
Later, on July 24, last year, police submitted the charge sheet of the case to the court against 34 BNP-men including MK Anwar. The court issued warrant against 17 accused of the case as they were found fugitives in the case.
