Negligence to duty: Arrest warrant issued against two Ctg physicians

A metropolitan magistrate court in the port city here on Thursday issued arrest warrants against two doctors to be exposed to justice for causing death of a patient through their negligence to duty.
Nargis Begum, mother of Saima Siqdar today filed a case against three persons including two doctors for neglecting her daughter during delivery that triggered the death of Saima.
Sixth Metropolitan Magistrate Harunur Rashid gave cognizance to the case and issued arrest of warrant against Dr Kazol Rekha Roy, Cardiac Registrar of Chittagong Medical College Hospital Dr Dabasis Talukdar and Abdul Jobber, Managing director of Patient Care Hospital.
The plaintiff in her case filed with the court of Harunur Rashid claimed that the trio killed her daughter during delivery through neglecting treatment on June 3 last at Patient Care Hospital limited at 57 KB Fazlul Quader road.
The court took the case filed under Section 304, 304(Ka) and 34 in cognizance and issued the warrant of arrest against them, court sources said.
Saima Siqdar , wife of Morshed Alam, senior Judicial Magistrate of Noakhali district court, gave birth to a male child on the night of June 3 and later she died.
