The Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court of Dhaka on Wednesday issued arrest warrant against 59 BNP leaders including Barkatullah Bulu, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, Azizul Bari Helal, Meer Sharafat Ali Shafu, Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel and Habib un Nabi Khan Sohel in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act.
Judge-in-Charge of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court, Ruhul Amin issued the warrant
after taking the charge sheet into cognizance on Wednesday.
It has been learnt that the court issued the arrest warrant as the accused have been declared fugitives.
The case was filed with Motijheel Police Station in January last year, during BNP-called countrywide hartal (shutdown).
