Islamic University Theatre troupe staged Liberation War-based play ‘Aro Juddho’ at Daina Chattar of the university on Sunday.
The play was staged marking the golden jubilee of Victory.
‘Aro Juddho’ has been penned by Gawsul Azam, assistant registrar of Applied Nutrition and Food technology department, and directed by IU theatre president Atiqur Rahman Onny and its general secretary Enamul Haque.
Islamic University Theatre troupe chief adviser Professor Dr M Shahjahan Mondol was present as the chief guest while AL-Fiqh Legal Studies department’s Associate Professor Dr Amjad Hossain, Assistant Proctor Dr Shafiqul Islam, Tourism and Hospitality Management department’s Assistant Professor Shariful Islam Jewel and applied nutrition and food technology department’s official Gawsul Azam Rintu were present as the special guest at the show.
Around two hundred students from various departments of the university gathered at the venue to enjoy the play.
‘Aro Juddho’ portrays Bangladesh has become independent after a nine month bloody war.
Though the country was independent, it could not get rid of its Pakistani allies.
They are continuing various misdeeds with various benefits even after independent.
A total of ten members of the IU theatre acted in the play while Piyas as Bijoy Pagla, Nishan as Razakar Mahir as Hoka Razakar, Jawad as Jahir master, Labonno as Moyna, Kowshik as Shadhin, Pinky as Sathi, Bobi as Mukta, Adnan as Daroga and Shihab as Hamid.
