Popular singer Arnob teamed up with Nazrul artiste Shusmita Anis to bring a new spin to Kazi Nazrul Islam’s inspirational song titled Jaago nari jaago bonhi shikha. The music video, shot in Dhaka by Nahiyan Ahmed of Flybot Studios, also features a dance performance by actress Ridy Sheikh.
While talking about the song Arnob, who also did the musical arrangement of the song, said, “This is the first time, I got a chance to work on a Nazrul song. I hope listeners will like it.”
Shusmita Anis shared her feelings by this way, “Kazi Nazrul Islam’s songs inspire us to fight against injustice. I tried to bring this famous song in contemporary context specially for the youth to understand the essence of women empowerment.”
The video was released on November 19 on YouTube channel, along with all other digital platforms.
