Army provides foodstuffs to 250 families in Rajshahi

Bangladesh Army has provided foodstuffs to 250 destitute and other helpless families in Rajshahi aimed at easing their livelihood related hardships being caused by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. Each of the families were given a food package containing 10 kilograms of rice, four kilograms of flour, two kilograms of sugar and edible oil each, one kilogram of pulse and 500 grams of vermicelli, powder milk and tea-leaf. On behalf the Commander-in-Chief of Bangladesh Army as his Eid-greetings, Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre (BIRC), Rajshahi distributed the humanitarian assistance recently at T-groin area in the city through maintaining social distancing and other protecting measures to stem the virus spreading. “We will provide the foodstuffs like humanitarian assistance to around 750 more jobless families in the poverty pockets under the present food distribution programme within near future,” said Lt Col Fakhrul Islam Chowdhury, Senior Instructor of BIRC.
