Army provides foodstuff to 100 distressed families in Rajshahi

Bangladesh Army provided foodstuffs to 100 destitute and other helpless families on Thursday aimed at easing their livelihood related hardships being caused by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre (BIRC) distributed the humanitarian assistance in Boharampur area in the city through maintaining social distancing and other protecting measures to stem the virus spreading.
Each of the families was given a food package containing seven kilograms of rice, two kilograms of flour, one kilogram of pulse and sugar, 500 grams of edible oil and 250 grams of salt.
“We have already distributed humanitarian assistance among 3,000 worst affected households in different areas of the district,” said BIRC, Rajshahi Station Commander Brigadier General Towhidul Islam, adding that the foodstuff distribution will continue.
