Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy entered the final of the Basketball Competition of the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games defeating their respective opponents in the semi-finals at Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium in the city on Wednesday.
Today Bangladesh Army will take on Bangladesh Navy in the gold-deciding match at the same venue.
In the day’s first semi-final Bangladesh Army edged past Bangladesh Air Force by 70-66 points.
Alomgir of Bangladesh Army top-scored with 14 points for his team and his teammate Mizanur netted 13 points.
On the other hand, Tareq of Bangladesh Air Force scored 30 points and his teammate Shamsul netted 13 points. In the day’s second semi-final, Bangladesh Navy eased past Rajshahi district team by 116-56 points at the same venue.
Mithun of Bangladesh Navy top-scored with 24 points and his teammate Sowad caged 18 points.
On the other hand, Harry of Rajshahi district team pulled off 18 points.
