As part of the National Tree Plantation Programme-2016, Army Chief General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq on Sunday inaugurated tree plantation programme-2016 of Bangladesh Army through planting a sapling of tree at Dhaka Cantonment.
A plan has been taken to plant 6,170 saplings of trees of different species including fruit-bearing, wood and medicinal at Dhaka and Mirpur Cantonment this year, an ISPR press release said.
The main objective of the tree plantation programme -2016 is to encourage everyone for increasing country’s forest resource and maintaining environmental balance.
