Chief of Bangladesh Army General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq on Sunday left Dhaka for Sudan’s Darfur to visit the activities of the peacekeepers.
A press release of Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) said the Army Chief, who is leading a six-member Bangladesh delegation, left Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport.
He will visit the different peacekeepers’ camp and exchange views with the two Bangladeshi contingents there. Besides, he will exchange views with the representatives of the Sudan Government and mission’s headquarters.
Later, the Army Chief will go to the United Nations Headquarters on September 2, where he will also hold meeting with the UN Secretary General and high officials, the release added.
