Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq paid a courtesy call with Kuwaiti Defence Minister Lieutenant General (retd) Sheikh Khaled Al Jarrah Al Sabah in Kuwait on Sunday.
Belal also met his Kuwaiti counterpart Lieutenant General Mohammad Khaled Al-Khoder, an Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) press release said here on Monday.
During the meeting, they exchanged greetings and discussed about the existing friendly relationship and cooperation between the two countries’ army staff.
Both the Kuwaiti Defence Minister and Army Chief lauded the skills and professionalism of Bangladeshi Army members working in Kuwait, the release added.
The Bangladeshi Army Chief will also meet Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah during his visit.
A seven-member special delegation led by the Army Chief of Staff left Dhaka on December 3 for a four-day official visit to Kuwait.
The delegation will leave Kuwait today for another four-day visit to Qatar, it added.
