The 66 Infantry Division (Rangpur Region) emerged champions securing two gold and two silver medals in the Bangladesh Army Archery Competition that concluded at the 57 East Bengal training ground at Dhaka Cantonment on Wednesday.
The 14 Independent Engineers Bridge team finished runners-up with one gold and one silver medal.
Sepoy M Ashiqur Rahman of the champions 66 Infantry Division (Rangpur Region) was adjudged the best archer of the competition. Chief of General Staff (CGS) of Bangladesh Army Lt Gen Sabbir Ahmed was the chief at the day’s closing function and later he distributed the prizes.
Twelve teams of Bangladesh Army took part in the meet.
