Legendary film, TV and theatre actor Ariful Haque has been living in Canada permanently for more than 12 years. By virtue of his acting quality this living legend has enriched our acting field. During his student life he selected this profession. Now she is totally absent from acting.
Today is Ariful Haque’s birthday. He will step into 86 today. While sharing his feelings in this regard he told this correspondent over mobile phone yesterday, “I have already reached into last stage of my life. I still miss my country. Due to survival I have to stay in Canada now. On birthday I do not have any special arrangement. My son will bring me outside the residence for travelling.”
It is noted that since 2000 Ariful Haque along with his family started to settle permanently in Canada.
In 2012, he last came to Bangladesh. During that time he acted in Hanif Sangket’s play Panchforon.
In his life, Ariful Haque basically wanted to establish himself as a singer. For this, he took a four-year diploma degree on Rabindra Sangeet from Dakshini Sangeet Bidyalaya of Kolkata. In 1964, he returned to Dhaka from Kolkata. Here he also continued his career as a singer but due to complexities in audition his dream did not come into true, he said.
