Amidst increasing buzz that cricketer Virat Kohli and actor girlfriend Anushka Sharma, currently holidaying at the spa resort, Ananda in the Himalayas near Rishikesh, will be getting engaged on January 1, celebrities like Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan as well as industrialist Anil Ambani along with wife Tina arrived at the spa resort on Thursday adding further fuel to the speculations.
The Bachchans and Ambanis reached Dehradun’s Jolly Grant airport in a chartered flight in the afternoon and straightaway headed for Ananda.
The hotel remained off-limits for all non-guests and according to sources, staff had also been reportedly told to switch off phones to prevent leakage of any information.
The Tehri district police under whose jurisdiction the area falls claimed that they had not been contacted for additional security at the resort.
