Archery to get City Group patronized

With a view to win a medal in the Olympic Games Tokyo-2020 Bangladesh Archery Federation signed a deal with City Group, the manufacturer of ‘Teer’ products, at the BOA auditorium on Monday.
As per the deal, Bangladesh Archery Federation will receive an amount of Taka 1.80 crore per annum from the City Group for the development of archery and upgraded training for the archers in home and abroad.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Archery Federation Kazi Razibuddin Ahmed Chapal and Head of Marketing of City Group Shoaib Md Asaduzzaman signed the deal on behalf of their respective organisations.
President of Bangladesh Archery Federation Lt Gen (Rtd) Md Mainul Islam was also present on the occasion. Chapal focused upon the future of archery.
“We started our journey on 2003 and from 2006 to 2017 we have won 12 international medals in various events, now we set our eyes on an Olympic medal, we hope to realize our dream in 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games,” said the general secretary of Archery Federation.
Shoaib also echoed the same tune. “We are disheartened to hear that Bangladesh is the most populous country yet to win an Olympic medal, we hope to break the jinx and hopeful that archery will lift the image of Bangladesh,” he said.
The deal will be for one year but remain as a subject of renewal after successful overview.
