Archery teams move all ten finals in SAG archery

Bangladesh men’s and women’s archery teams confirmed their final spot in all ten events of the ongoing South Asian Games (SAG) eliminating their respective rivals in the semifinals held on Saturday at Pokhara Stadium in Nepal.
In the recurve men’s singles event, famed archer Ruman Sana confirmed his spot of final beating his countryman Mohammad Tamimul Islam by 6-2 set points in the semifinal.
Ruman Sana will vie Tshering Kinley of Bhutan in the gold deciding final while Tamimul will fight against Sajib de Silva in the bronze deciding match.
In the women’s recurve singles event, Mosammat Eti Khatun moved to the final by beating Karman of Bhutan by 6-0 set in the semifinal.
In the compound men’s singles event, Sohel Rana defeated his countryman Asim Kumar Das by 145-144 points in the semifinal. Sohel will vie Tandin Dorji of Bhutan in the final while Asim face Kumara Athanpola of Sri Lanka in hte bronze deciding match.
In the compound women’s singles event, Suma Biswash reached the final beating Thakshila Damayanthi of Sri Lanka by 145-136 points in the semifinal.
In the recurve men’s teamevent semifinal, Bangladesh team comprising Ruman Sana, Tamimul Islam and Hakim Ahmed Rubel beat Nepal by 6-0 points
In the recurve women’s teamevent semifinal, Bangladesh team comprising Eti Khatun, Mehnaj Akter Monira and Beauty Roy defeated Nepal also by 6-0 points to reach the final.
In the compound men’s teamevent semifinal, Bangladesh archery team comprising Sohel Rana, Asim Kumar Das and Ashikuzzaman beat Nepal by 224-215 to reach the final.
In the compound women’s teamevent, Bangladesh archery team comprising Susmita Bonik, Suma Biswash and Shamoly Roy will take on Sri Lankan in the final.
While in the mixed teamevent, Bangladesh team comprising Sohel Rana and Susmita Bonik face Nepal in the final.
