Archaeologist Dr. Enamul Haque laid to eternal rest

Renowned archaeologist and researcher Professor Dr Enamul Haque was buried at his family graveyard in Velupara village under Sonatolta upazila of the Bogura district after the Jum’a prayers on Friday. A Janaza was held on the field of Dr Enamul Haque Degree College before his burial. Earlier, his body was kept at Central Shaheed Minar in Bogura town for the people to pay their last tribute to him after the second Namaj-e-janaza held at Dr Enamul Haque Art and Cultural Centre, reports BSS. Bogura District unit Awami League President Mojibur Rahman Moznu, its General Secretary Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, General Secretary of district CPB Aminul Farid, Daughter of Dr Enamul Haque Trina, President of Sommilito Sangskritik Jote Toufiq Hasan Moina and Deputy Commissioner Ziaul Haque paid their profound tribute to the eminent researcher Prof Enamul Haque at the Shaheed Minar, among others.Ekushey Padak winner Dr Enamul Haque died at his residence in the capital on July 10.
Haque, also a former Director General of Bangladesh National Museum, also
awarded Swadhinata Padak (Independence Award) of the country and the Padma Shri Padak by the Government of India.
