Arambagh Football Academy will face Zabid Ahsan Sohel Krira Chakra (KC) in the opening match of the Saif Power Battery Third Division Football League at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur today. The match kicks-off at 2.00 pm.
Dhaka Metropolis Football League Committee has arranged the football competition under supervision of Bangladesh Football Federation. Saif Powertec Limited is sponsoring the football meet.
Marking the ensuing football competition, a press conference was held at the conference room in the Dhaka Metropolis Football League Committee of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday. Chairman of the Dhaka Metropolis Football League Committee Harunur Rashid, General Secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Deputy Chairman of Third Division Football League Committee Enamul Haque Abul, Director of Saif Powertec Limited Tarafder Md Ruhul Saif, Secretary of the Saif Power Battery Third Division Football League Committee Md Ahad Bappi spoke at the conference.
A total of 19 teams splitting into two groups are taking part in the football meet.
Arambagh Football Academy, Jatrabari Jhatika Sangsad, Uttara Friends Club, Araf Sporting Club, Kadamtala Sangsad, Government Printing Press S&RC, Rainbow Athletic Club, Mir Hajirbagh Sporting Club, Deepali Jubo Sangha, Zabid Ahsan Sohel Krira Chakra are in Group-A, while Lalbagh Sporting Club, Saif Sporting Club Limited (Youth team), City United Club, Fakirerpool Surjotarun Sangha, Kallol Sangha, Tangail Football Acdemy, Siddique Bazar Dhaka Junior Sporting Club, Narinda Junior Lions Club, The Muslim Institute are in Group-B.
