Arambagh Krira Sangha beat Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra by 1-0 goal in the 10th round match of the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football that began at Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Friday after a recess of 13 days.
Brazilian striker Thiago Tyson scored the match-winning goal for Arambagh KS in the 37th minute by a left footer off a square pass from medio Abdullah that kissed the net deflecting from opponent booter Monaem Khan Raju (1-0).
With the feat, Arambagh KS advanced to the 6th slot in the league table securing 14 points from 10 matches while Sheikh Russel KC remained at 11th place in the 12-team league with their previous collection of five points from 10 outings.
In the day’s match, Sheikh Russel KC managed a good chance to level the margin in the 67th minute but Arambagh custodian Pappu Hossain saved his castle brilliantly foiling a right footer of local forward Shakhawat Hossain Rony.
In the 77th minute, Cameroonian forward of Sheikh Russel Paul Emile’s side-footed shot whiskered past the Arambagh side post.
In the 88th minute, Arambagh managed a golden chance to double the margin, but a right footer of Sajidur Rahman Sajid travelled over the cross from a vintage position.
Earlier in the 18th minute, Sheikh Russell came close to the score when a header of Shakawat Hossain Rony, off a medio Jamal Bhuiyan corner, went outside despite beating Arambagh goalie Pappu.
