On the occasion of Pahela Falgun and Valentine’s Day, Sanjoy Somaddar-directed a play titled Aporupa was scheduled to telecast in a private satellite channel and a YouTube channel. But this play was not aired due to unknown reason. According to director Sanjoy, the play will be aired soon.
While talking about story of the play director Sanjoy said, “There is specific definition of beauty. To everybody, his/her loveable person is a likeable one. Children are likeable to their parents and vice-versa. Story of the play Aporupa revolves with this theme.”
Apurba said, “Last Valentine’s Day, Mehazabien and I worked as pair in several number of plays. Of those plays, story and concept of Sanjoy Somaddar’s play Aporupa attracted me. In fact, if there is no variation in story of the play it is really tough to give better efforts while acting. For this reason, I always try to work in exceptional story based plays. In Aporupa, Mehazabien tried her level best to portray her character properly. I believe viewers will enjoy the play with interest.”
Mehazabien shared her feelings by this way, “In the play, my character was absolutely different. To portray my role properly I had to take make-up for long time. During this stage of my acting career, I am trying to concentrate to work in exceptional story based plays. Viewers will realise the matter if they watch my recent works. In play Aporupa, my character is like that which will be realised by the viewers while watching the play. Apurba Bhaiya co-operated me a lot to present my role in the play. In fact, full unit also co-operated me overall.”
It is mentioned that last December Sanjoy Somaddar made a play titled Game Over casting Apurba and Mehazabien as a pair. It was Sanjoy’s second work with them, he also said.
