Popular film actress Apu Biswas has been served two legal notices on allegations of cheque fraud of Tk 10 lakh, which she had reportedly taken as loan on different occasions.
Lawyers on behalf of Badsha Bulbul, proprietor and CEO of AB International, served the legal notices to the Dhallywood actress on Sunday.
According to the notices, Apu had sent two cheques of Tk 5 lakh to Bulbul to pay the money back, but those bounced due to insufficient funds in her bank account.
Bulbul’s counsel Monjurul Alam sent the legal notices to Apu, asking her to pay the money back within 30 days. Otherwise, a case will be filed against her under the Negotiable Instruments Act, read the notices.
