The actress, who kept herself away from the silver screen for family reasons, will be seen in Debashish Biswas’s upcoming directorial venture Shashurbari Zindabad-2. The film’s shooting will begin this week, informed Apu. ‘I am looking forward to make my comeback through Debashish Biswas’ upcoming film Shashurbari Zindabad-2, which is sequel to the 2002 box office hit film Shashurbari Zindabad’, said Apu Biswas. Shashurbari Zindabad, directed by Debashish Biswas, is a comedy starring Reaz and Shabnur in the lead roles. ‘I am preparing myself for the silver screen. I gained a few extra pounds during pregnancy which I am now losing through regular exercise. I want to concentrate on acting from now on’, added Apu, who has also signed two other films namely Robin Khan’s Kanagoli and Rafique Sikder’s Opare Chandrabati. The actress has been performing at stage shows across the country ahead of her silver screen comeback. She has performed at several stage shows held in Dhaka and elsewhere in the last two months. Apu made her silver screen debut in Amjad Hossain’s Kal Sokale in 2005. She has acted in over 80 films including many box office hits. She got married to Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan in 2008 and gave birth to a son in 2016. They got divorced in February, 2018.
