Bangladesh Bar Council urged the apprentice lawyers to carry Identification (ID) Card and wear brown or ash- color tie, not black, during their probation period in the court.
Bar Council Secretary AKM Johurul Alam issued letter recently to all lawyers’ associations as per the council decision and asked them to ensure apprentice lawyers carrying ID card and wearing different color tie, not black, in the courts.
The lower courts’ lawyers and learner lawyers both use black tie and the probationers do not carry any ID card making it difficult to distinguish a probationer from a full-time practicing lawyer.
To clear the identity of apprentice and regular lawyers in the courts, the learner lawyers have been urged to wear brown or ash- color tie and to carry ID card during the probation period.
