State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, MP, today laid emphasis on applying scientific and modern methods in business management.
“By applying scientific and modern methods, we have to make our business organizations proficient and profitable. By this, employment will be created, dynamism will come to the economy and the private institutes will have the opportunity to play a major role in country’s development,” Shahriar said.
The state minister came up with the observations while addressing the inaugural function of a training programme titled “Leadership and Corporate Philosophy in the Age of Globalization” at city’s Gulshan Club. The two-day training is being organized by Bangladesh-Japan Training Institute (BJTI).
Identifying himself as an advocate for “private sector-led growth”, Shahriar said the government is helping the private sector with training, banking and financial institutes, structural development, change of policy, coordination, etc, a foreign office press release said.
“Private sector will be the main driving force of the development,” he said.
