In view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline for submission of applications for ‘Bangladesh Press Council Award-2021’ has been extended till February 10, 2021.
The last date for application for ‘Bangladesh Press Council Award-2021’ was originally January 5, 2021 which was earlier extended till January 31, 2021.
In recognition of the role of newspapers, Bangladesh Press Council gives this award to journalists and photojournalists for making investigative and creative reports and photos, said a press release.
Applications have been invited for four categories. These are: rural journalism, development journalism, women journalism and photography/ video.
To be nominated for the award, the report or feature must be published or broadcast between January 1 and December 31, 2020, it added.
The applicant must be a journalist or photojournalist working in any newspaper or electronic media and an applicant cannot submit multiple reports or features or photographs on the same subject.
