Banisa Begum, a 50-year old housewife who has been suffering from acute heart disease, has appealed for financial assistance for her heart surgery.
The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) physician Prof Dr. Atahar Ali through Angiogram test report result found 100 percent block in her two arteries and 75 percent block in a sub-artery, which cannot be cured by placing a ring or doing bypass surgery.
The family of the patient was advised to immediately place an ICD (Implantable Cardiovertar Defibrillator) device, which will cost her Tk 4 lakh.
Her family cannot afford to bear the treatment cost and sought financial help from the well-to-do people of the society.
