The hanging body of a female garment worker was found at Madhabpur in Habiganj on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Tanzina Akter, 19, employee of Sayham Cotton Mill at Madhabpur in Habiganj and daughter of Anwar Hossain of Harashpur in Bijaynagar of Brahmanbaria.
Madhabpur police officer-in-charge Ajmiruzzaman said that being informed by locals, the police sent the body to Habiganj General Hospital for autopsy.
Tanzina’s roommate said that she came back from her nightshift duty in the morning to find the room’s door locked from inside. Then she with locals broke the door and found Tanzina’s body hanging from the ceiling.
