Forced child prostitution: APBn SI, woman held in Sylhet: 2 minor girls rescued

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a Sub-Inspector (SI) of Armed Police Battalion (ABBn) and his female accomplice on charge of their link with the forced child prostitution at Dariapara in Sylhet city on Sunday.
The accused are Rokon Uddin Bhuiyan, 40, SI of APBn-7, Lal bazar of Sylhet, and Rima Begum, 35, from Khaliajuri upazila of Netrakona district,
RAB also rescued two minor girls and seized 60 pieces of yaba from the possession of the duo during the raid, said Moniruzzaman, Additional Director to RAB-9 on Sunday.
“Based on secret information, a team of RAB-9 raided in the ground floor of a house where Rokon and Rima had been living for a long time by introducing themselves as couple.”  
They brought the poor and beautiful teenager girls by alluring them of giving manage better jobs and domestic task. Later, the duo fed yaba tablets and other drug items and forced to prostitution, the RAB official said .
Two cases were filed against them with the Kotwali Police Station under Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP).
The rescued girls were handed to local police station, the RAB official said.
Meanwhile, Rokon has been suspended from the service for proper investigation, said the Commanding Officer (CO) of APBn-7.
He was absent for a long time in the office, the CO said.
