Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder said Annual Performance Agreement (APA) have been playing a pivotal role in overall development of the country.
“I want proper implementation of the annual performance agreement. It’s not just an agreement rather it has been playing a pivotal role in overall development of the country”, he told recently while addressing the signing program of APA at ministry’s meeting room here.
Marginal farmers are getting fair price of their crops as the ministry took some timely decisions, he said, adding that “paddy will not be bought from those who are stockpiling paddy.”
The minister also called upon the concerned authorities to intensify monitoring on food officials for the interest of consumers and farmers.
Earlier, the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) for the fiscal year 2021-22 was signed between the Ministry of Food and its affiliated departments and agencies under the government’s performance management system.
Secretary of the food ministry Mrs Nazmanara Khatun presided over the program while the chiefs of its affiliated bodies took part on the occasion.
