On May 25, 1979, legendary singer Runa Laila rendered the song Tomar Mukher Hashi Holo Golar Fashi for Motaher Hossain directed movie Priyo Bandhobi. After four decades, this song is going to be rendered by listeners’ choice singer Anupama Mukti. Gazi Mazharul Anwar wrote lyrics of the song while Alauddin Ali composed its tunes and music. Today (April 6) is the birthday of Anupama Mukti. On her birthday, mahurat of a new movie is scheduled to be held. In that movie, she will render Runa’s song in new way.
While talking in this regard, Anupama Mukti said, “It is really a great luck for me to render my favourite singer respected Runa Laila Apa’s song in new way under new musical arrangement. I don’t know how will be my performance. As I have been hearing her songs during childhood attentively, so I believe I will render the song by her way. I know I am not like her. I render my songs by own way. But when I render song of other I have always try to render like that singer. I will render Runa Apa’s song by her way. I am grateful to them who gave me the opportunity to render Runa Apa’s song.”
Anupama Mukti also said that Md Alamgir Hossain has arranged music of the song in new way. Raihan Mujib will give direction of the film. “I will pass times with my family on my birthday except taking part in recording of the song during mahurat,” the singer said.
