Music-lovers of the country always want to hear songs of the yesteryears in voice of National Film Award winner popular play-back singer Anupama Mukti. For this reason, she has some special fans who always prefer to hear only songs in her voice.
In different occasions, Anupama Mukti rendered songs in dialect of Chattogram for several times. For the first time, under the new musical arrangement, she lent her voice for the song in dialect of her hometown, Sirajganj. Title of the song is: Barir pashe beter aara, Hal dhoirachhe dewra chhera. Lyrics and tunes of the song are collected. To change some portions of the lyrics, popular folk singers Momtaz Begum and Ashraf Udas rendered the song in different times. Hasan Motiur Rahman did the change of composition of the song. But lyrics and tunes of the original song are collected.
In the new arrangement of the song, singer Apu also lent his voice with Anupama Mukti. Basically Anupama Mukti is very much delighted to render the song in dialect of Sirajganj.
While talking in this regard the singer said, “Earlier, I rendered songs in dialects of different regions. Most of the time I rendered songs in dialect of Chattogram. My grandfather’s house is in Enayetpur of Ullapara of Sirajganj. For the first time, I rendered the song in dialect of own hometown. For this reason, a different kind of love has been created while rendering this song. Apu and I tried to give our level best effort while lending our voices for the song. I believe music-lovers will enjoy the song, which has been recorded under the new arrangement of music to telecast on Bangladesh Television (BTV).”
On December 31 of 2020, Anupama Mukti rendered songs in a programme under homely arrangement. She rendered songs on RTV on the occasion of 27th death anniversary of R D Burman on January 4. Atik Hasan also performed with her in the show.
