Entertainment Report :
When it comes to modern Bangla film songs, Anupam Roy’s supremacy has hardly been challenged ever since he stepped onto the music landscape – be it in terms of lyrics, be it in terms of tune and composition that touched upon the emotional spectrum of his generation.
The Indian national award winner has made his debut in Bangladesh through Debi, a movie based on Humayun Ahmed’s novel that brought the mystery character Misir Ali alive on the screen.
Anupam’s song Du Mutho Bikel was released on September 17 on Jazz Multimedia official YouTube channel and the authentic fan page of the movie’s producer and actress Jaya Ahsan. The song was written and composed by Anupam, who has already expressed his best wishes for his audience in Bangladesh.
The visual of the song featured Ranu (Jaya Ahsan) and Anis (Animesh Aich ) in two spots of Dhaka – Hatirjheel and Shishu Park. Prior to the release, Jaya and Anupam appeared in two video messages where they aired their hope for the song to be cherished by the audience.
“I couldn’t say no to Jaya, my friend. That’s why I worked for Debi. The other reason is Humayun Ahmed, who has an immense influence on me,” said Anupam. “Momotaz Apa’s song has already created a big hype. Every day we receive hundreds of TickTalk videos from fans. FM radio and TV channels air the song quite often. I think Anupam’s song will be loved too!” said Jaya adding that Debi would be released in October.
