Anupam Kher resigns as FTII chairman

Veteran actor Anupam Kher on Wednesday resigned as the chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). The 63-year-old, who has started shooting for his international project titled New Amsterdam, took to Twitter to share the news and cited his busy schedule as the reason behind his resignation. “It has been an honour, a privilege & a great learning experience to be the Chairman of the prestigious FTII. But because of my international assignments I won’t have much time to devote at the institute. Hence decided to send my resignation. Thank you,” tweeted The Accidental Prime Minister actor.
