An anti-tobacco organization entitled ‘Madak Birodhi Chhatra Sangathan’ was launched at the gallery room of the Social Science faculty building on Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus on Thursday.
The Assistant Professor of JU Public Administration Department Jebunnesa inaugurated the journey of the organization as the founder advisor.
Addressing the inaugural session Jebunnesa said we have launched this organization to protect our students as well as the people from taking all kinds of drug.
We will gradually hold awareness programme on demerits of the drug at every departments of the university, she added.
More than two hundred students of the university from different departments took part the inaugural session and took oath to be refrained from smoking as well as taking any kind of drug.
