Anti-terrorists Students Unity organised a Students-people solidarity rally to condemn the attack on Dhaka University Central Student’s Union (DUCSU) VP Nurul Haque Nur and his 28 associates on Sunday.
Students, teachers, journalists and politicians expressed their solidarity with the rally and demand immediate trial of the attackers and DU proctor’s resignations for his failure to maintain discipline on the campus.
The solidarity rally took place at Anti- terrorism Raju Sculpture of Dhaka University
at around 3 PM on Tuesday.
Former DUCSU VP ASM Abdur Rob, Mujahidul Islam Selim, Mahmudur Rahman Manna and Aman Ullah Aman, Photo Journalist Shahidul Alam, Professor of DU Law Department Tanzimuddin Uddin Khan, Convener of Gono Songhoti Junaid Saki, Professor of Jahangir Nagar University Syed Ferdous, and leaders of different Student’s organizations expressed solidarity with the rally.
From the rally, Protesters upheld three-point demands , including resignation of DU Proctor, to recover and publish CCTV footage of the attack time, immediate trial and expulsion of attacker BCL DU Unit president, secretary and leader of Muktijhuddho Mancha.
