Anti-NRC rally Muktijoddha Mancha attacks DUCSU VP Nur: 10 hurt

Leaders and activists of Muktijoddha Mancha reportedly attacked Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Vice-President Nurul Haque Nur at a rally on the Dhaka University (DU) campus on Tuesday afternoon. Witnesses said that the leaders and activists of Mancha attacked Nur while he was addressing a rally there protesting the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) of India in the afternoon.
At first activists of Mancha, led by its President Aminul Islam Bulbul and Secretary Al Mamun, obstructed the rally at about 4.00pm at the foot of Raju’s Memorial Sculpture that led to a clash.
DUCSU VP Nur and social welfare secretary Aktar Hossain and ten others received injuries in the attack.
Witnesses said, VP Nur in his speech at the programme termed Muktijoddha Mancha India’s Dalal (broker).
Hearing this, leaders and activists of the Muktijoddha Mancha came there and attacked VP Nur and others.
